In a special 70th Independence Day offer, Aircel has announced the ‘Aircel KaAzaadi Offer’ at Rs 123. The exclusive deal will run only on one day, August 15, and will offer users unlimited calling to any local network, along with unlimited data with one day validity. “With ‘Azaadi Offer’ we are removing the cost barrier for our customers and replacing it with unlimited benefits. State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) had recently announced unlimited free calls to any mobile and landline network of all service providers pan-India on August 15.

It is still three days before Independence day, and if the recent Telecos data price wars (courtesy Reliance Jio) are to be considered, we can expect some killer deals from most major telecom providers. It was recently announced that Bharti Airtel has acquired rights to use 4G airwaves of Aircel in seven out of eight telecom circles under their Rs 3,500-crore spectrum trading deal. Airtel has entered into the Rs 3,500-crore deal with Aircel to acquire rights to use the latter’s 4G spectrum in eight telecom circles — Tamil Nadu (including Chennai), Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir West Bengal, Assam, North East, Orissa and Andhra Pradesh.
