Gboard 7.7 update brings a new Clipboard Manager feature to the app, as per XDA Developers report
Gboard, Google’s native keyboard app is getting a new Clipboard Manager feature, reports XDA Developers report. According to the report, the new feature comes in the latest version 7.7 update of the app.
The update is rolling out in phases which means it will take time to reach all users. However, XDA Developers managed to manually download the update. As per XDA’s recognised developer ‘Quinny899’ who tested out the feature reveals that the app once updated, users will see a new option in the overflow menu of Gboard called ‘Clipboard.’ Tapping on the feature will show up some of the previously saved clips.
The report further said that users will be able to add new clips, delete or even pin a clip. One will be able to access the clipboard manager via a shortcut while opening the keyboard. As mentioned, the new Clipboard Manager feature is rolling out in a phased manner, XDA Developers, however, notes, that those who want to try out the feature can sign up for beta program on Google Play Store.

Meanwhile, Google just introduced a floating keyboard to Gboard to make multitasking easy. The feature is added to version 7.6 of Gboard. The mobile keyboard float similar to SwiftKey floating keyboard enables users to move the Gboard around after undocking it. The feature can be found by tapping on Gboard’s Google icon and then on the overflow menu. Following this, tap on the Floating option. Once it is enabled, you will be able to drag the keyboard and resize it as well.
