Mi A2 sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with a screen aspect ratio of 18:9. It runs the Snapdragon 660 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Mi A2 packs a 3,010mAh battery. Camera combination on Mi A2 is 12MP+20MP with f/1.75 aperture. At the front, it has a 20MP sensor that comes with Portrait mode support.

Mi A2 Lite has a notch on the top and a slightly smaller 5.84-inch Full HD+ display. It is powered by the older Snapdragon 625 processor. However, the battery on board is 4000mAh. It features dual camera sensors having a 12MP+5MP combination. Up front, it has a 5MP sensor for selfies.

The cheapest version will cost Euros 249 for the base 4GB RAM and 32GB storage version, which is nearly Rs 20,000 on conversion. The 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version will cost Euros 279, which is around 22,000 on conversion. Finally, the highest variant of 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost Euro 349, which is nearly Rs 28,000 on conversion. Now we will have to wait and see if Xiaomi keeps the prices similar when launches the phone in India, or whether we will get reduced prices here.
Coming to the smaller Mi A2 Lite will cost Euros 179 for 3GB RAM and 32GB version. This comes to around Rs 14,000 on conversion. Mi A2 Lite in 4GB+64GB storage will cost Euros 229, which is around Rs 18,000 on conversion.
While the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite will go on sale in France, Spain and Italy from July and August, it will also come to other countries, a total of 40 to be precise. Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite will come to India as well, though we will have to wait and see when it goes on sale in the market.
Mi A2 Lite will cost Euros 179 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB version. The Mi A2 Lite in 4GB+64GB storage will cost Euro 229. On conversion to India, the prices come to Rs 14,000 plus and Rs 18,000 plus for the Mi A2 Lite smartphones.
Mi A2 comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor as well. Xiaomi claims this processor still outperforms other mid-range processors. Mi A2 Lite has a 4000 mAh battery on board.

Xiaomi is claiming an Antutu Benchmark score of 140,000, which is a huge leap over the Mi A1 from last year. Mi A2 will come with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage on board. Xiaomi claims they are putting in a lot of their own effort for improving Selfies and Portrait mode with AI. Xiaomi has also included AI Bokeh enhancement to the selfie camera's portrait mode.
Mi A2 selfie camera is also 20MP and comes with a 'soft' Selfie light. Mi A2's rear camera will also figure out which lens to use for Bokeh depending on the lighting.
Xiaomi says the Portrait mode on Mi A2 is powered by machine learning. Each pixel is separated into an actual object. The ML allows it to figure out the background from the foreground and thus create a good Bokeh. Once again, Xiaomi is claiming that the Bokeh works well even in low-light. AI portrait mode keeps focus on the important stuff, says the company.
Xiaomi claims that the Mi A2's low-light performance will be much better than rivals like Galaxy A8. Again we will have to wait for the final review unit to see if this is true. To recap, Mi A2 has a 12MP 20MP rear camera. Looks like the 2X optical zoom feature will not be a part of the Mi A2.
Xiaomi says the second 20MP sensor has a 'Super Pixel' technology for much brighter photos. Users can turn this feature on in the manual mode of the camera app.
