The device has been co-engineered with Leica is among the most anticipated devices of the year, which is a rebadged version of the Xiaomi CIVI 4 Pro which was unveiled in China in March this year.
CIVI stands for cinematic vision which means the device is expected to excel in photography. The company said that the new device builds on the success of the Xiaomi 14 Series and will redefine how we perceive smartphone photography and videography. According to the brand, the Xiaomi 14 CIVI promises to elevate visual storytelling with its ‘Cinematic Vision’.
The Xiaomi 14 CIVI is priced at Rs 47,999 for the 12GB + 512GB variant. The device also comes in an 8GB + 256GB variant for Rs 42,999 with additional bank offers, the net effective price of the base variant of the Xiaomi 14 CIVI comes down to Rs 39,999. The Xiaomi 14 CIVI features a flat 6.55-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with Android 14-based HyperOS. The device will come with a Leica-backed triple rear camera unit as well as dual 32-megapixel front cameras.

The base variant of the Xiaomi 14 CIVI which comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 42,999 whereas the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage version costs Rs 47,999. The company is also offering a Rs 3,000 discount for ICICI card holders.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, the Xiaomi 14 CIVI has a triple rear camera setup tuned by Leica and supports 4K video recording on all cameras.

The Xiaomi 14 CIVI has a triple rear-camera setup at the back with a primary Light Hunter 800 series with 50 MP resolution paired with a 50 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 12 MP 12mm ultra-wide angle lens, and it supports Lieca authentic and Leica vibrant modes, just like the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
The Light Hunter 800 sensor captures stunning details and vivid colours. Xiaomi ASP brings flagship-like optics. There is an AI Magic Erase feature to remove distractions from the background. Features like Master Portrait give sharp images that exude warmth. The 32 MP front cameras bring life to selfies and group pictures. Both the main and front cameras deliver incredible output. The 14 CIVI also comes with cinematic videography, including a movie mode with smart zoom and auto composition.
The new device from Xiaomi claims to have unparalleled performance. The device also features an industry-leading cooling technology to meet demanding tasks. Xiaomi T1 Signal Enhancement Chip is another unique addition that improves connectivity in areas with patchy network connectivity.
The Xiaomi 14 CIVI has a 6.55-inch quad-curved display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which, according to Anuj Sharma is "super immersive" with extremely narrow and uniform 1.4mm bezels. This is achieved using FIAA technology with the phone having a 93.19 per cent screen-to-body ratio.
Xiaomi 14 CIVI has been engineered for ergonomics and the weight distribution has been optimised, making it easy to use the device comfortably for a long time. Xiaomi says the curved body makes the phone easy to hold in both portrait and landscape mode.
Xiaomi 14 CIVI is built using unique sustainable materials that add to the style quotient of the device. The phone is sleek and made with great attention to detail. It is available in three colourways - Matcha Green, Cruise Blue, and Shadow Black.

Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will get three years of software updates and four years of security updates. The company also said it will be adding new generative AI features such as image expansion via a software update.

Xiaomi has confirmed that the 14 CIVI will be available in three colour options, and the back panel of the phone seems to be made out of two different materials, which gives this phone a unique look. The phone is likely to offer a premium construction with a metal frame, and at the front, the device packs a "floating quad-curve display" with 1.5K resolution and, a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Xiaomi has already launched a couple of smartphones with Leica-branded camera-centric phones, including the flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra, however, most of them have been on the expensive side. The Xiaomi 14 CIVI, on the other hand, is speculated to be priced well within the Rs 50,000 price mark, which will make it the most affordable smartphone with a Leica camera in India, and this is also the first "Cinematic Vision" (CIVI) branded phone, launching in India, which was first introduced in China a couple of years ago.
