OnePlus 6T gets a 6.41-inches AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 coating. The display is slightly bigger from 6.28-inches on OnePlus 6 and the new phone has 19.5:9 aspect ratio with a dewdrop notch design. Again, this is a change from the previous phone, which comes with a rectangular notch and screen aspect ratio of 19:9.
The highlight is the Screen Unlock feature where the fingerprint scanner is placed under the display. The company claims this is the fastest fingerprint sensor in the world and can unlock the phones in about 0.34 seconds. OnePlus 6T ditches a 3.5mm headset jack and the company is bundling a Type-C to 3.5mm adapter in the box.
When it comes to camera, the dual rear cameras have not changed – 16MP+20MP – with a f/1.7 aperture on both – though low-light photography has been improved, thanks to Nightscape mode. The cameras also have optical image stabilisation (OIS), electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and support studio lighting mode similar Apple iPhone X. The front camera is 16MP with f/2.0 aperture.
OnePlus 6T is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Just like previous variants, OnePlus 6T does not support a microSD card slot. OnePlus has introduced SmartBoost mode for improved gaming experience, which the company says will help with 20 per cent faster loading times with graphics-heavy games like PUBG. The battery is a bigger 3,700mAh than 3,300mAh on OnePlus 6. The phone measures 157.5x74x8.2 mm. OnePlus 6T runs OxygenOS, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie.
