OnePlus 3T has officially launched in India today; this is the upgraded version of the Chinese company’s flagship smartphone for 2016. OnePlus 3T will be Amazon exclusive in India and will go on sale from 12.01 am on December 14. The 64GB version will come in Gun Metal and Soft Gold option at Rs 29,999; while the 128GB version will come only in the Gun Metal colour at Rs 34,999.
OnePlus 3 was priced at Rs 27,999 in India and was Amazon exclusive. It is also available on the OnePlus India online store, which was launched recently. The company is working on launching its own flagship stores in India. OnePlus has not confirmed if they will end production and sales of the OnePlus 3 smartphone in India. For now it looks like the older flagship will continue to sell in India.
OnePlus also says they will try and manufacture the new phone in India sometime next quarter but didn’t give out more details. For now, Amazon Prime users will get early access to the sale on December 12.
OnePlus 3T comes with a newer processor, improved front camera and larger battery compared to the earlier flagship. In terms of weight, dimensions, the OnePlus 3T is exactly the same as the earlier smartphone. OnePlus 3T features a 5.5 inch Full HD AMOLED (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with 401 ppi pixel density. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and runs the latest 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.35Ghz.
It comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal memory options with UFS 2.0. The rear camera on OnePlus 3T is 16MP with the Sony IMX 298 Sensor. It also has a Sapphire crystal lens cover. The front camera is also 16MP in the OnePlus 3T smartphone, up from 8MP front camera on the earlier version.
OnePlus 3T has a 3400 mAh battery compared to the 3000 mAh battery on the earlier phone. The phone comes with the company’s proprietary Dash Charge support, which promises a day’s worth of battery life in just 30 minutes of charge. OnePlus 3T has USB 2.0 Type-C charging port, Dual-nano SIM slot and 3.5 mm headphone jack. It runs Android Marshmallow for now but Android Nougat support is coming soon.
