OnePlus has introduced a new variant of the 11r Solar Red with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage for Rs 35,999, which makes it Rs 3,000 more expensive than the regular OnePlus 11r (review) available in Galactic Silver and Sonic Black colour options.
OnePlus first introduced the 11r Solar Red variant in 2023. Then, only one variant––with 18 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage––was on offer. This variant has been out of stock for a while. The specifications of the Solar Red variant are similar to the other variants, the only difference being the red-coloured vegan leather back panel on the new variant.
Unlike the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition, which comes with special packaging and plenty of accessories, the OnePlus 11r Solar Red variant gets no special treatment.
The company is currently charging a premium for this new colour option. HDFC and ICIC Bank card users can get a flat discount of Rs 1,000 on all three variants of the OnePlus 11r. This brings down the effective price of the device to Rs 31,999, and Rs 34,999, respectively, with almost Rs 7,000 price cut on the base model.
The OnePlus 11r was the company’s previous budget flagship, powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC with 8/16/18 GB of RAM and 128/256/512 GB of internal storage.
The device has features like a 6.74-inch curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone has a triple camera setup at the back, featuring a 50 MP primary sensor. It is fueled by a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging. The smartphone was recently updated to OxygenOS 14, based on Android 14, and the device is eligible to receive two more major Android OS upgrades in the coming years.
