ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia is expected to make a comeback in India soon after Diwali with its Red Magic smartphone aimed at the gaming segment. The phone is expected to be priced around Rs 30,000 and will have special offers for those pre-book the phone.
The Nubia Red Magic was launched in April and stands out for its unique design, a customisable LED RGB strip that will have gamers drooling. Nubia claims it has used extra layers of graphite, convex-styled back and the four cooling ports on the back of the device to keep it cool during demanding gaming sessions. “At its peak temperature, it’s almost ten degrees cooler than an iPhone X,” the company claims on its website.
The 6-inch Full HD phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clocked up to 2.45GHz. The 8GB version with 128GB storage is expected to be the model being launched in India. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo stock Android and has a fingerprint sensor at the back. The smartphone is powered by a 3800 mAh battery and has a USB Type-C port for charging. The Red Magic offers a 4G dual nano-SIM slot with MIMO and Bluetooth 5.0.
Like with other Nubia phones, the camera will standout for its f/1.7 24MP sensor. However, the phone won’t offer a dual camera setting. The front clicker is 8MP with an f/2.0 aperture. Incidentally, Nubia shared a teaser for Red Magic 2 just last week.
