Micromax has introduced another affordable tablet called Canvas Tab P690 at a price of Rs 8,999. The Canvas Tab P690 runs on a 1.8 Ghz quad-core 4th gen Intel Atom processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM with support for up to 32GB microSD cards. The device sports an 8-inch HD (1280 x 800 pixels) display with 5MP A/F rear camera and a 2MP F/F front camera. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat OS, the 3G enabled Canvas Tab P690 comes with Quicklook, voice search, Google Drive, Hangouts for video calls, smart contact prioritisation, etc. Micromax has promised to upgrade the device to Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. Powered by a 4000 mAh battery, Micromax claims to offer a battery life of more than 180 hours on stand-by mode. The tablet is also preloaded with Facebook, Saavn, NewsHunt, Swift Key and WPS Office. It comes with Wi-Fi Connectivity, Bluetooth and USB support. It will be available at all leading retail stores and online stores across the country from June 7.
