Lenovo Vibe K5 Note has been launched in India. The smartphone is Flipkart exclusive and will go on sale from just one minute before midnight on August 3. Lenovo has launched the Vibe K5 Note in two RAM variants in India. The 4GB variant is priced at Rs 13,499 and the 3GB version costs Rs 11,999. This is a budget smartphone, that will compete against Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2 and Moto G4 Plus. Lenovo has also launched a TheaterMax Bluetooth controller priced at Rs 999. Lenovo is bundling the ANT VR headset and controller together for Rs 999 on Flipkart, while the GamePad and VR headset can be bought together at Rs 1,999. Since TheaterMax is the USP of this smartphone, people who want to try these experiences will have to shell out a little extra. Lenovo says the TheatreMax technology is not simply VR, but it ensures a theatre style experience across applications. Users don't have to search for special VR content to experience TheaterMax, but instead the mode can be applied to all regular applications on the Vibe K5 Note smartphone. So what are the most important features of the new Lenovo Vibe K5 Note in India? Here's a quick look at the top features that stand out in the new Vibe K5 Note. • Lenovo Vibe K5 Note has a metal unibody design, similar to the Vibe K5 Plus. It looks quite different from the earlier K4 Note, and similar to the Redmi Note 3. It has a 5.5-inch full HD display with 401 ppi, and a fingerprint scanner on the back. It is 8.5 mm thick and weighs 165 grams. • Lenovo Vibe K5 Note runs a MediaTek 6755 octa-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1.8 Ghz and has a Mali T860 GPU. Lenovo Vibe K5 Note will come in two RAM versions: 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM. The total storage space is 32GB with OTG support and a micro-SD card support (128 GB as limit). • Lenovo Vibe K5 Note sports a 13MP primary camera with f and 8MP front camera. The rear camera has PDAF as well and Lenovo is promising improved low-light performance for selfies. • Vibe K5 Note is backed by a 3,500mAh battery with the company promising 18 hours of talktime on 3G and over 15 days standby time. • Lenovo Vibe K5 Note supports the company's TheaterMax technology which promise 100-degree field of view for any standard piece of content on the smartphone. Regular games, movies, videos, etc, even if they are not in VR format, can be viewed in a cinema-style experience via the TheaterMax headset. Additionally all VR content, 360 content can also be viewed in this headset, which has been build by ANT VR for the company. • Vibe K5 Note has Dolby Atmos Sound support which boosts the cinematic experience inside the headset. It has a configured 3-mic system and Wolfson audio codec which filters out ambient noise and to enhance sound quality during recording. • The new smartphone runs Android 6 Marshmallow with the company's Pure UI on top, which looks more like stock Android. Lenovo has also added a Secure Zone to keep some data private on this device, and users can run two WhatsApp, Facebook, Gmail accounts on the same phone.
