
Just weeks after the launch of the Huawei Mate 9 and the Mate 9 Pro (in China), the company has unveiled the Mate 9 Lite on its website but without any details as to the availability or the pricing of the phone. It is still however, expected to be the cheapest device in the Mate 9 series.
Huawei Mate 9 Lite comes with a 5.5-inch FHD (1080p resolution) display with a 2.5D curved glass on top, and is powered by an Octa-core (4 x 2.1GHz + 4 x 1.7GHz) Kirin 655 processor. The phone comes in two variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM.
The dimensions of the phone is 150.9 x 76.2 x 8.2 mm. Its sensor package includes a – proximity sensor, fingerprint sensor, hall effect sensor, ambient light sensor, acceleration sensor and a compass. Mate 9 Lite will be available in three colour variants – Grey, Gold and Silver.

Huawei had launched the Mate 9 Pro earlier this week in China, featuring a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a Quad HD resolution. It is powered by an Octa-core Kirin 960 chipset coupled with a Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. The phone is running Android 7.0 Nougat and comes with 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB storage. It features a dual 20+12MP Leica optics, along with an 8MP front camera.
