The new HTC One E9+ might cannibalise the M9+. Here is why

Are you planning to buy the flagship HTC M9+ smartphone? Hold on then. If deciding which flagship smartphone to buy is difficult for you, given so many choices, HTC has just decided to confuse you more by launching the E9+ with the same features at almost Rs 15,000 less. So, why should you pay more for the M9+? For its dual finish metal uni-body design and fingerprint sensor. On the other hand, the E9+ offers dual SIM card slots along with the flagship MediaTek HelioX10 chipset.

The One E9+ is ideally a larger upgrade of the E8. It comes with a bigger 5.5-inch 2K display (1440 x 2560 pixels) with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and a 20 megapixel rear camera with 4K recording as well. It is a dual-SIM smartphone that comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB storage and an expandable memory of up to 2TB on microSDXC card slot. It runs on MediaTek’s flagship 64-bit 2GHz octa-core HelioX10 CPU. The E9+ also features HTC BoomSound with Dolby Audio Surround.

Other features of the E9+ are similar to the M9+ apart from a slight difference in battery capacity. HTC has supplied a 2,800 mAh battery for the 5.5-inch E9+ while the 5.2-inch M9+ comes with a 2,840 mAh battery.
