HMD Global is known for resurrecting classic Nokia phones; however, most of these devices have been budget phones. This time around, HMD seems to be bringing back the legendary Nokia Lumia 920’s iconic Fabula design, first introduced on the Nokia N9, in the form of a new mid-tier Android smartphone called HMD Skyline.

According to a report by Nokiamob.net, HMD Skyline, code-named Tomcat, is an Android smartphone that mimics the classic Nokia Lumia 920’s design, which was first announced in 2012, featuring a colourful plastic back panel that curves around the display on all four sides.

As per the leaks, the HMD Skyline looks like a modern take on Nokia’s Fabula design with a large display featuring thin bezels with up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is speculated to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC with up to 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. Specifications-wise, it looks like a mid-tier smartphone, and just like other HMD-made Nokia smartphones, the device is likely to offer stock Android OS, and it is most likely to ship with Android 14 OS.

Other prominent features of the HMD Skyline include an IP67 water- and dust-resistance rating, a stereo speaker setup, and the device is also said to have an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone is reported to have a triple camera setup at the back with a 108 MP primary sensor along with an 8 MP ultra-wide and a 2 MP depth/macro lens. At the front, the phone might include a 32 MP selfie camera.

The smartphone is expected to be priced at around 400 Euros and to leverage the nostalgia factor to help sell this device to those who used to adore these classic Nokia designs. For now, there is no information on when this phone will see the light of day.
