An unknown device by the name of ‘Google Rammus’ has appeared in a GeekBench listing. First spotted by tipster Roland Quandt, the mystery device is seen running on Android 7.1 Nougat with 4GB RAM and is powered by an Intel Core m3-8100Y processor.
Given that Android 7.1 Nougat and Intel Core m3-8100Y processor are quite old, it’s being said that the device could be an older variant of the Pixel Slate tablet. Another theory suggests the tablet could be a low-cost version of the Pixel Slate tablet which could be announced soon.
The Pixel Slate tablet was announced, alongside the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones at the company’s big-ticket event in New York earlier this month. The tablet, which runs on Chrome OS, competes with Microsoft’s Surface Pro 6 and Apple’s iPad Pro. The premium 2-in-1 offers 10 hours of battery life and comes in multiple configurations. It also features a high-resolution LCD display, dual front-firing speakers, and an 8MP front and back cameras, and a fingerprint scanner. It has an integrated Google Assistant and Titan security chipset. The device supports the $99 PixelBook Stylus.
