Google Pixel and Pixel XL running Android 7.1 Nougat are launching on October 4. The smartphones have been teased before, but finally we have our best look yet of the purported device.

Google is reportedly ditching the Nexus branding in favour of Pixel this year. According to Android Police, Google Pixel will feature a 5-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage.

The smartphone is also reported to feature 12MP rear camera same as the one seen on HTC 10. The device will get an 8MP front camera. Android Police also reports that Pixel devices will get top mounted headphone jack and a rear fingerprint scanner like last year’s Nexus lineup. The smartphone will be backed by a 2,770mAh and support USB-C port for charging.

On the other hand, Google Pixel XL is reported to differ from smaller Pixel in terms of display and battery size. Google Pixel is expected to sport a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and a larger 3,450mAh battery.

Google is also expected to tweak stock Android UI with Android 7.1 Nougat. Google is reported to introduce Pixel launcher with a slide up app drawer and support for five apps on the app tray. Google Pixel launcher replaces the search bar with a search icon and adds a static timeline to the right.
