Soon enough though, these features were extended to the Galaxy S23 series and the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip5 models. Now, according to a report by SamMobile, Samsung is gearing up to bring Galaxy AI to its popular Galaxy A series smartphones.
The company is reportedly preparing the One UI 6.1.1 update for the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 smartphones, which will mark the debut of Galaxy AI features on these mid-tier devices.

With a starting price of ₹23,775 on Amazon, the Galaxy A35 (review) will become the most affordable smartphone to offer the new generative AI experiences through Galaxy AI. Until now, the Galaxy S23 FE, priced at ₹34,399 on Amazon, was the least expensive Samsung device to include Galaxy AI.
Additionally, Samsung introduced new Galaxy AI capabilities such as Portrait Studio and Sketch to Image, during the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6. These features will soon be available on the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip5, Galaxy S24, and Galaxy S23 series through the upcoming One UI 6.1.1 update.
Samsung has a hybrid approach for Galaxy AI, where some AI tasks are being processed on the device, while more intricate processes will need cloud-backed assistance for faster processing. As confirmed by the company’s executive, Samsung is also expected to introduce a new and improved Bixby in the coming days.
By introducing some Galaxy AI features on its most popular A series smartphones, Samsung will give the taste of its new AI capabilities to a larger user base, and encourage users to upgrade to more expensive devices to get a complete Galaxy AI experience.
However, the Galaxy A35 and the Galaxy A55 aren’t getting the whole suite of Galaxy AI features. As of now, there is no information if the previous Galaxy A series smartphones such as the Galaxy A54 and the Galaxy 34 will also gain Galaxy AI capabilities.
