Apple iPad Pro sale starts on November 11, but no India on the list

Apple Inc said its iPad Pro will be available for ordering online on Wednesday and will arrive at stores later this week.

The Apple iPad Pro features a 12.9-inch display with a resolution of 2732 x 2048 pixels which translates to 264 pixels per inch. Under the hood, the iPad Pro is powered by Apple’s custom designed A9X chip with M9 motion coprocessor.

The iPad Pro comes with 8mp iSight camera with autofocus and facetime HD camera for video calling. The tablet supports dual microphones and will come in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+Cellular variants.

The iPad Pro starts at $799 but costs more than $1,000 if buyers also want a keyboard and an optional stylus. The tablet will be available in more than 40 countries including the United States, the UK, China and Japan.

The iPad Pro will come in 32 and 128GB versions. While the 32GB starts (WiFi only) starts at $799 (Rs 52320 when converted) , the 128GB will cost $949 (Rs 62,142). The Apple site only lists a 128GB model in the WiFi+Cellular connectivity version. This one will cost $1049 (Rs 70, 655).

The iPad Pro also supports the new Apple Pencil stylus. Apple Pencil comes with a Lightning conductor built-in and Apple says that 15 seconds of charge will give a user 30 seconds of usage. The Apple Pencil can be used by designers, and the screen can sense different levels of pressure, to create shading effects, etc.

Apple Pencil will work with apps like Mail, Notes, Procreate and Office 365 for iPad.  The iPad Pro also lets users run two apps in full size mode simultaneously.
