Asus launches eco-friendly Zenbook S 13 OLED and Vivobook 15 laptops

Asus unveils two new laptops - Zenbook S 13 OLED boasts an eco-friendly build, thin design, and high-end specs and the affordable Vivobook 15 that offers great performance.

Asus on Wednesday has introduced two new laptops — Zenbook S 13 OLED and the Vivobook 15 in India, and the company is touting that the Zenbook S 13 is the most eco-friendly Zenbook from the company, which makes use of recycled metal and plastic. Both laptops will be available for purchase starting today via Amazon, channel partners, and Asus eshop.

The price of the Zenbook S 13 OLED starts at Rs 1,29,990 while the base model of the Vivobook 15 costs Rs 49,900. In total, there are four variants of the Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED and four variants of the Vivobook 15. Both laptops ship with Windows 11 OS along with a lifetime subscription to MS Office 2021 Home and Student.

The Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED is a thin-and-light ultrabook that’s just 1cm (10mm) thick and weighs 1 KG. It comes with a 13.3-inch display with 2.8K resolution, offering a higher contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and the display is paired to a 180° lay-flat hinge.

The laptop is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 155U processor with integrated Intel graphics along with up to 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage. The laptop also offers the latest wireless connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. This is also an Intel Evo Edition certified notebook, which delivers a streamlined computing experience, including a quick boot time, quick app loading time, enhanced security, improved web camera performance, and more.

Asus claims that the Zenbook S 13 OLED can offer up to 14 hours of battery life and also supports fast charging ( 0 to 70 per cent in 30 minutes) via the USB-C port.

The Asus Vivobook 15 comes with a bigger 15.6-inch screen and it weighs 1.7 KG. The base variant of this laptop is based on the Intel Core 3 100U processor, while the more expensive variant comes with the Intel Core 5 120U processor. Both variants offer 8 GB RAM, upgradable up to 16 GB, and it also offers up to 1 TB of internal storage. It also has a 720p web camera and includes a 42WHr battery with support for 45W fast charging.
