The PS5 Slim went on sale today but Sony's new partnership with Zomato's Blinkit may get you the fastest delivery on any app. “Blinkit customers in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru can now get the all-new PlayStation 5 Slim editions and controllers delivered in 10 minutes,” Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa announced with a post on X/Twitter Friday. We checked the Blinkit app in Noida, and sure enough, the PS5 Slim is listed and ready for lightning-fast delivery. However, it seems only the pricier disc version is available at Rs 54,990 for now. But if you prefer going the digital route, keep an eye out – the PS5 Slim Digital Edition (Rs 44,990) may pop up soon too. The delivery time says just 15 minutes, which is significantly faster than what you’d get from regular e-commerce channels. Along with the console itself, Blinkit is also offering the Sony DualSense Wireless Controller for Rs 5,899. An extra controller is always handy for those couch co-op sessions with your gaming buddies. The PS5 Slim was first launched in November in the United States and Indian availability has followed more recently. The console is the successor to the OG PlayStation 5, which saw massive stock shortages, but with deliveries in minutes, those problems seem to be in the past now - no more waiting endlessly for restocks or engaging shady resellers. The word ‘Slim’ comes from the console being 30% more compact and 25% lighter while retaining the same speedy performance. Blinkit, usually associated with grocery items, is no stranger to delivering pricey electronics in minutes. In January 2024, Samsung partnered with Blinkit to deliver the Galaxy S24 series in select cities. Users could also receive a cashback of Rs 5,000 if they used an HDFC Bank credit card. As of writing, the phones are still available on the platform as is the offer.
