A day after bringing Xbox Cloud Gaming to select Amazon Fire TV Sticks, Microsoft has now announced that it will increase the price of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
Microsoft said that from September 12, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription plan will cost Rs 829 per month instead of Rs 549 per month. PC Game Pass subscribers, who currently pay Rs 349 will have to shell out Rs 449 per month, but they will still be entitled to day-one titles.

The gaming giant also unveiled a new ‘standard’ subscription plan, which, unlike other the more pricier plans won’t include day-one access to first-party Xbox titles. It is priced at $14,99 per month (approx. Rs 1,250) for new users. While the existing Xbox Game Pass for console subscription will be available for existing users, new Game Pass subscribers will not be able to able to see the option from July 10 onwards to when Microsoft offers the new Game Pass Standard subscription worldwide, which the company says will be available in the “coming months.”
These price hikes come a few months before Microsoft adds Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and other new titles to the Xbox Game Pass. In July last year, Microsoft increased the prices for the Xbox Game Pass, with Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate seeing a price hike of Rs 50.
