HP has unveiled its first notebooks with integrated privacy screens. HP Sure View, a new option available on HP EliteBook 1040 and HP EliteBook 840, helps protect against visual hacking. HP Sure View has been developed with 3M privacy technology. Users can press the f2 key to immediately switch to privacy mode in PC. HP cliams, this reduces up to 95 per cent of visible light when viewed at an angle, making it difficult for others to view information on the screen.

According to a recent study conducted by the Ponemon Institute and sponsored by 3M, visual hacking is a real threat to a company’s sensitive data. The study says nine out of 10 attempts to acquire sensitive business information using only visual means were successful, with nearly four pieces of private information visually hacked per trial.
HP recently launched Spectre, the world’s thinnest laptop in India. The device is priced at Rs 1,19,900. At just 10.4mm thickness, HP Spectre is slimmer than Asus’ Zenfone Max smartphone. The total weight of the notebook is just 1.11kg, and the display has Gorilla Glass 4 for protection. HP Spectre has Bang & Olufsen Audio with Quad Speakers sound.
