Under 19 Asia Cup: Bangladesh and India are featuring in the 11th U19 Asia Cup final in Dubai. (Bangladesh Cricket) The ACC Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup has pitted the best upcoming talent from the Asian countries over the years. Established by the Asian Cricket Council in 1989, the tournament has seen 11 editions over the years, with the latest tournament culminating in Dubai on Sunday.
India are the most successful side in the history of the U19 Asia Cup, winning eight of the 10 previous tournaments. India have only missed out on the summit clash on two occasions – in 2017 and 2023. Bangladesh clinched their maiden title last year when they beat United Arab Emirates in the final held in Dubai.
The young Tigers are nearing a second successive title after troubling India in the 2024 edition final in Dubai. Batting first, Bangladesh compiled 198 runs before beating India by 59 runs with a clinical bowling effort.
