That's it, Pakistan has won the game, which is what was expected after their first innings effort. UAE, with the ball in the first innings and with the bat, have shown that they can compete at this level, but it is those clutch moments that they need to hang onto and convert the pressure back on the opposition is where they failed. Nevertheless almost a good game of cricket; it is the 15-20 over passage from both the essays that UAE can improve upon. As per Pakistan, although they have won the game, they have a lot of things to improve upon going forward.

Shaheen Shah Afridi gets Sharafu, and that has to be the final nail in the coffin for the UAE for tonight. He did bat quite splendidly, did Sharafu, but that wicket means they have lost a set batter with a lot of work to do. However, having said that, the way they have applied themselves tonight, there is plenty of positive to take forward.
Sharafu has gone past his half-century here. He has played well UAE has got their player who needed to get a half-century but what they lacked is a batter who can support him from the other end. It is a matter of one cameo, something which Nawaz has delivered in the previous innings. Agha has turned to pace here he is hoping to close this game out here.
Abrar Ahmed has come back into the attack and he picked up two wickets first, it was Asif Khan who tried to hit the ball into the stands but skied it and Shaheen Shah Afridi took a good catch and then it was Rahul Chopra who tried to play it of the surface mis-read it completely and was hit on pads altough it seemed like it was missing the stumps the umpire gave it out.
Nawaz has managed to get the breakthrough here. It was young Ethan who tried to take on the left-arm spinner mis-timed it straight to square-leg. Just when it seemed like the partnership had been put and the stage was set to take off, UAE has lost a wicket, but the good thing though Sharafu is well set and he needs to bat till the 18th over.
Pakistan has plenty of spin options today to use, and they are in operation right now. However, in the previous game, they had Faheem Ashraf, who was quite brilliant with the old ball with his cutters. It is an option Pakistan might miss today, but the way Abrar is bowling, they will believe they have enough in their attack to defend this total against this inexperienced UAE batting line-up.
Abrar Ahmed has made a breakthrough here. Skipper Waseem tried to heave the leg-spinner through the on-side, but the edge carried to the fine-leg fielder. The UAE batters are finding it hard to pick Abrar. However, having said that, both the openers have laid the foundation here, and if they can see off Abrar, UAE might be in with a chance in this game.
Although UAE has not run away with the game here but they have been able to get a good start. The slower ones into the surface with the new ball are working and are only going to get tougher and tougher as the evening progresses, but the good thing is UAE has wickets in hand and they will need one of the openers who have got a start to keep batting till around the 18th over mark.
Shaheen Shah Afridi and Salman Mirza are opening the bowling here for Pakistan. It is an uphill task for the UAE to get these runs. A trick though, is to make the most of the powerplay when the ball is new and is coming onto the bat. Try and put pressure on the bowlers by charging down the track or play a ramp shot, something like that.
That was our plan if we won the toss or lose the toss, we wanted to bowl first, because the pitch had moisture. We bowled well and went hard. Dropping the catch is part of the game. It proved costly as Fakhar Zaman showed in the last 3-4 overs. Had we got him, we could have restricted them to 140 but now they have 170. First 10 overs pitch was different and then it changed. We have to go hard and try to chase this down.
Well UAE did take control in the middle overs of the innings, and at the end, they let it go. That was a brutal innings from Fakhar Zaman, and it's 30-40 too many that the UAE has conceded. It is highly unlikely they will get there, but if there is any chance, they will need a batter to match Fakhar's innings. We will be right back, do stay with us.
Fakhar Zaman has gone past 50 here, and Mohammad Nawaz, who took a bit of time to get himself in, is unleashing himself against Junaid. This partnership certainly is taking the game away from the UAE. They have had their chances they just could not grab them. This is a good score for Pakistan on this wicket.
Haidar Ali could have added more to his wicket tally, but it was a bit of poor fielding from the UAE. Zaman, who played it quite sensibly till that point, decided to take the best bowler of the opposition, and he is lucky that he is still at the crease, as he was dropped twice. Mohammad Nawaz from the other end meanwhile is finding it hard to get adjusted to the pace of the wicket.
Fakhar Zaman has played this quite smartly. Usually, he is the one who takes the attacking route at the first opportunity presented, but he took his time today and got Pakistan into a manageable situation. This is a used wicket and Pakistan do have spinners in their side to exploit the conditions, and if Fakhar can somehow take Pakistan to around 150, they would be cautiously optimistic.
Another has fallen here in Pakistan, and it is Haider Ali yet again. Seems like a canny spinner is Haider Nawaz, was completely deceived by the length and tried to defend the ball on the back foot, which he needed to go forward to, and additionally, he also mis-read the line, and the ball took the edge, and the keeper did the rest. Pakistan has now lost half their side and it seems like the collapse from the previous game continues.
Well, this was an issue with Pakistan in the previous game as well. Haris has got a start and consumed 17 deliveries, and Haider Ali, who bowled stump-to-stump and was quite difficult to get away, built pressure on the batters, and Haris swept the bowler and missed it completely. Pakistan has now lost four without Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan; they now seem to have gone completely in the other direction.
Both Fakhar Zaman and Haris have gotten themselves a start here. Although playing an attack game is never to be criticised in this format of the game, they can definitely take a leaf out of the book from what has happened in their previous loss against Afghanistan, when Atal and Zadran controlled the middle overs quite brilliantly. Both Fakhar and Haris are that ilk of player, but if they can curtail their instinct a bit and pick their moments wisely, runs are there to be had.
Pakistan has lost another wicket in the powerplay here, and it is skipper Salman Agha who picked up the wicket. Rohid kept probing around that fourth stump channel through the length operating around a good length region, and Agha, who was in two minds whether to poke at it or not, eventually ended up playing a half-hearted shot. They are in a bit of a pickle here, are Pakistan is losing three wickets.
Another wicket fell, and it is Saim Ayub we have seen in the first over. Junaid has been a bit shorter, and lines were a bit off, but in his second over, he struck the ideal length. Ayub, with a lack of foot moment, tried to drive the ball on the up and ended up edging to the keeper, giving a simple catch. Farhan earlier tried to pull a ball that was asking to be hit and mistimed it, and deep square leg did the rest in the bowling of Parashar.
The UAE has not started well here. There are times in this format when batters take the aggressive route and bowlers have to alter their plans, but Junaid, Rohit, and now Parashar have all slipped in at least one poor delivery per over, and with the small dimensions in this ground, the Pakistan openers need no second invitation to clear the boundaries. As we update Parshar picked up Farhan.
Junnaid has started bowling here for the UAE, and he has been a bit on the shorter side to start with. Although it is a wicket that has not offered a lot in the previous games, and especially the fact that it is also a used wicket, however, getting the line right in this format is a non-negotiable. He needs to get it right and try and hit that good-length region.
The conditions are looking lovely for cricket. Pakistan will bat first, which is a good choice as it is a used wicket. We might see the wicket get slower and slower as the game goes on, hence Pakistan would look to make the most of those first six overs, and UAE will try and restrict Pakistan from doing the same. It is going to be a cracking game, so do stay with us.

“I think it’s really harsh to challenge a player on their form in three games,” he said at a press conference. “Babar played nicely in the first ODI but missed out on the next two. There’s no doubt Babar’s been asked to improve in some areas around taking on spin and in terms of his strike rate. Those are things he’s working really hard on,”
