New Zealand posted a challenging 322 for 7 against Netherlands who could only manage 223 in 46.3 overs. Sent in to bat, New Zealand’s batting fired in unison with Will Young (70), Rachin Ravindra (51) and Tom Latham (53) posting half-centuries.

Poor from Netherlands! And an absolute gift for New Zealand and the Dutch have thrown away this wicket. Ackermann played it in the deep and ran first one quite quickly and on the second one there was miscommunication. Nidamanuru is run out and the good looking partnership breaks. Nidamanuru breaks the shackles after Santner tossed it up and the batter goes for the big heave and hits a six. Couple of balls later, Ackermann gets into the act and hits a boundary past the midwicket region. With that the 100 is up for the Dutch. Score after 22 overs, NED: 100/3
The Kiwi bowlers have kept a tight leash around the Dutch batters. They have been equally good in varying their pace, especially Santner. Netherlands have lost three wickets - Vikramjit, ODwod and de Leede and seem in a bit of trouble. Score after 19 overs, NED: 76/3
Stunning catch by Boult at the boundary leads to the dismissal of Bas de Leede. He almost dropped it but somehow did well to take the catch after flicking it up and coming back in to complete the catch. Check done by third umpire and it is gone! Score after 17 overs, NED: 67/3

Bas de Leede gets going with a late cut that goes quickly to the ropes. However, he was lucky there that the thick edge went in between keeper and first slip. Score after 13 overs, NED: 57/2
Max ODowd is gone and very smart bowling by Santner! The batter doesn;t take a review either! It was a quicker delivery pitching on middle and off before straightening and the batter is caught in front of the wicket. Score after 11 overs, NED: 44/2
Matt Henry comes steaming in for his fifth over and Ackermann welcomes him with a FOUR! That is crisply struck and had great timing, it gathered speed after the initial shot. NED: 33/1 after 9.1 overs
Ackerman plays it up and above the fielder which is safe. The ball from Henry was on a good length and on off stump, and was driven in the air and just past the man who dived at cover. Score after 8 overs, NED: 26/1

Paul van Meekeren concedes a boundary of the last ball off the over and once again a good over is spoilt by one bad ball. This is where New Zealand have played smartly. Bas de Leede is under pressure as Tom Latham gets the measure of him and hits him for three fours in a row! One is a beautiful drive, next one a slice past the keeper and the last is a glance down fine to fine-leg. Score after 36 overs, NZ: 210/3
Bas de Leede is back into the attack and Mitchell continues to find the ropes and this time with the mid-wicket in, he finds the gap behind that fielder and pulls him away. Score after 34 overs, NZ: 192/3
Rachin Ravindra departs just after reaching his fifty! He looks so dissapointed because all he got was a tickle down the leg-side but the keeper -Edwards- takes a fine catch. Van der Merwe gets his second wicket. NZ: 185/3
Daryl Mitchell gets a life as Engelbrecht drops a catch off Ryan Klein. This could have led to the third wicket but sadly does not. Score after 32 overs, NZ: 183/2
van der Merwe again and Ravindra with a single. He's been the quieter of the two batters here, a far cry from his ominous form that he showcased against England in the opener. Just the 6 from this one. NZ 177/2 after 31 overs
Ryan Klein continues and Ravindra with a single to start this one off. Mitchell on strike and he clobbers the ensuing ball for a boundary. The next ball is through the leg side and fetches 3 wides. NED under pressure. NZ 171/4 after 30 overs
van Meekeren in to bwol the next one and Mitchell comes out and goes down the ground for a boundary!! Oh no. Ir gies from bad to worse for the Dutch as the bowler bowls a no. free hit time. That's now hit out of the ground for a huge 6!!! NZ 163/2 after 29 overs
Ryan Klein continues and the NZ batters rotate strikes. 2 from the first 3 balls. And 150 up for the Kiwis as they build towards a decent total. NZ 150/2 after 28 overs
OUT! Mid-on was inside the circle and the ball was short and into the surafce! Will Young went for the pull and caught the toe-end of the bat and a good catch from Bas de Leede. Van Meekeren gets the wicket. The Netherlands team are delighted and celebrate. NZ: 144/2
It seems like the Kiwi batters have decided to target Ackermann, as he is welcomed with a six on his new over. This time Rachin goes down the ground and lofts it away for a six! Colin Ackermann, right-arm off break, comes into the attack but Will Young, unperturbed by the fall of the wicket, hits a FOUR! Next over, Van der Merwe is back into the attack and gives away just three runs from his over. Kiwis are in total control as of now. Score after 15 overs, NZ: 81/1
Roelof van der Merwe strikes and it is the big wicket of Conway! The left-hander was trying to be aggressive and went for the maximum on the bigger side of the ground. But it hit the toe end of the bat and went straight to the fielder at deep mid-wicket where Bas de Leede makes no mistake. The bowler is pumped and that is visible by his celebration. NZ: 68/1
