England, chasing a mammoth 509 for a win at Lord’s, lost their openers early on. Alastair Cook and Adam Lyth showed no stomach for fight to leave their team high and dry. Same was the case with the rest of the batsmen as they didn’t apply themselves in and paid the price with a humiliating defeat.
