Sex racket busted: Kashmiri girl rescued

The Social Security cell of Pune police crime branch rescued Wednesday a Kashmiri girl who was allegedly forced into prostitution. Police have arrested an alleged sex racketeer Amar Govind Ingle,23,of Latur.

The Social Security cell of Pune police crime branch rescued Wednesday a Kashmiri girl who was allegedly forced into prostitution. Police have arrested an alleged sex racketeer Amar Govind Ingle,23,of Latur.

Acting on a tip-off,a police team raided the apartment in Fort Lisa,Kalyani Nagar and rescued the 23-year-old girl.

Ingle is believed to be an ‘agent’. A search is on to nab kingpin of the racket Nisar Chand Shaikh,police said. The case was registered at Yerawada police station. Police said the apartment was rented out since October 2012,police said.

“The girl came in contact with the alleged sex racketeers through a friend in Kashmir. She first came to Mumbai with her friend and the racketeers lured her to Pune a month back on a promise to pay her Rs 2 lakh. The racketeers got customers through escort service advertisements in newspapers,” senior inspector Bhanupratap Barge said.
