The Pune unit of state anti-corruption bureau (ACB) has booked a police sub-inspector for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 5 lakhs from a staffer of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL).
ACB said the accused police sub inspector Dattatraya Shegar is currently attached to Chandan Nagar police station. As per the ACB, an offence of theft of electricity meter was lodged at Chandan Nagar police station against the MSEDCL staffer.
