Why shouldn’t Hindus look after their interests? Asks Sena

Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray asked the Hindu community to unitedly show their iron fist and unfurl the saffron flag atop Red Fort.

Claiming that there was a conspiracy to corner Hindus,Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on Friday asked the community to display their “iron fist” and unitedly unfurl the saffron flag atop Delhi’s Red Fort after the Lok Sabha polls.

“There is a conspiracy afoot to corner Hindus and finish them. In this election,Hindus should unitedly show their iron fist and unfurl the saffron flag atop Red Fort,” Thackeray was quoted by Sena mouthpiece ‘Saamana’.

“If BJP’s Varun Gandhi merely uttered something in an aggressive manner in interests of Hindus, the so-called secular elements demanded his banishment from poll arena,” Thackeray, whose party is contesting 22 of the 48 seats in Maharashtra, said.

Varun had recently thanked Thackeray for supporting him in the backdrop of the controversy over his anti-Muslim speeches at a public rally in Pilibhit.

Referring to Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur,Thackeray alleged she was being served “insects” in her meals.

“Kasab (26/11 terrorist) and his ‘green gang’ is left aside… they are targeting Malegaon blast accused just because they are Hindus,” he alleged.

“Does Congress want to bring an Islamic rule in the country by pushing Hindus to the background?” Thackeray asked.
