SP’s Nawab is unwitting guest in Lucknow

BJP workers embarrassed him with slogans of “Bukkal Nawaab, NaMo, NaMo” and “Bukkal Nawab aye hain, NaMo chai peene aye hain.”

Samajwadi Party legislator Bukkal Nawab reached a chai pe charcha venue in Lucknow unannounced, not knowing what it entailed.

In the last half-hour, a news channel team arranged a debate and called leaders of political parties. Nawab, an MLC, took up the offer. To his surprise, he found TV screens installed and BJP leaders, including party state president Laxmikant Bajpai, in the crowd.

The BJP leaders offered him a chair and NaMo tea from the stall, set up by local BJP corporator Dinesh Yadav. As journalists asked why he was there, Nawab made it clear he had been invited to a debate, not to chai pe charcha.

Bajpai and other BJP workers sat beside Nawab. They embarrassed him with slogans of “Bukkal Nawaab, NaMo, NaMo” and “Bukkal Nawab aye hain, NaMo chai peene aye hain.”
