Raj accuses Bal Thackeray of U-turn on Shah Rukh

Despite Shiv Sena's anti Shah Rukh Khan stance,Raj Thackeray has accused Bal of seeking funds from him.

Stepping up his attack on the Shiv Sena,Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray indicated that Sena mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ had sought an advertisement from actor Shah Rukh Khan despite the party’s opposition to the actor and his films.

Of all the greetings that Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray received on his 50th birthday on July 27,one had stood out – “best compliments” from none other than Shah Rukh Khan who was targeted by the Sena earlier this year,Raj said.

The birthday wishes were conveyed through a half-page advertisement released in the Sena mouthpiece. It said,”With Best Compliments From…Red Chillies Entertainment”,the film company owned by Shah Rukh.

“Shah Rukh may not have given the ad on his own… It was sought from him,” Raj said while addressing a public rally to campaign for the civic election due here later this month.

On one hand, the party had said that the actor should go to Pakistan and on the other,it seeks his advertisement,Raj said.

The war of words between Sena chief Bal Thackeray and nephew Raj has escalated with the Sena patriarch announcing that a videotape of the Mahabaleshwar conclave in 2003 where Uddhav was named working president, will be made public to prove Raj’s falsehood.

“We have the videotape in our possession and it will be shown to people in Dombivli,Kalyan and Kolhapur,” 84-year-old Thackeray had said on Tuesday.
