Disunity, arrogance caused defeat of Left: RSP

Disunity and ‘arrogance of power’ caused the defeat of the Left in the LS polls,RSP General Secretary T J Chandrachoodan has said.

Disunity and “arrogance of power” caused the defeat of the Left in the recent Lok Sabha elections,RSP General Secretary T J Chandrachoodan has said.

The “arrogance” had resulted in the fallen moral standards and lack of faith in each other in the Left,he said at a meeting in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday in memory of late K Vijayaraghavan,a veteran Malayalam journalist and revolutionary socialist.

“The electon was not a victory for the Opposition. We ourselves became the Opposition,” he said.

“The state government had done a lot of good things. But even when we did so,we fought among ourselves,” he said.
