BJP urges Jharkhand governor to dissolve assembly

The BJP appealed to Governor Jharkhand M O H Farooq to recommend dissolution of the assembly, which is under President’s Rule.

As no political party has the numbers to form a government in Jharkhand, which is under President’s Rule, the BJP today appealed to Governor M O H Farooq to recommend dissolution of the assembly.

“I will appeal to the Governor to convenue a meeting within a week and recommend for dissolution of the state assembly,in case no political party comes forward with adequate number to form a government,” BJP state president Raghuvar Das told a press conference here.

Das said he hoped that the governor ‘will not repeat the mistakes committed by his predessors’ and recommend dissolution of the state assembly immediately.

He expressed apprehension that horse-trading would be encouraged if the state assembly was kept under suspension for a long period.
