‘BJP acutely feels the absence of Vajpayee’

BJP was very acutely feeling the absence of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee from the present political scene,accepted Sushma Swaraj.

The BJP was very acutely feeling the absence of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee from the present political scene in the country,senior party leader Sushma Swaraj said on Wednesday.

Till the last general elections,Vajpayee and NDA’s Prime Ministerial candidate L K Advani were known as inseparable pair,Sushma said while addressing a ‘Meet the Press’ programme in Bhopal.

She said that Vajpayee’s absence from the political scene would be felt most acutely by Advani,she said.

When asked about the Supreme Court’s decision not to allow film star Sanjay Dutt to contest the Lok Sabha polls from the Lucknow seat,she said that this did not matter at all to the BJP.

The BJP felt that Lucknow was the seat of Vajpayee and it did not matter at all whether or not Dutt contested the polls from there,she added.
