WATCH: Baloch Liberation Army’s attack on Pakistani paramilitary convoy that killed at least 5

While local sources told news agency Reuters that at least 11 people were killed and 22 others injured, the BLA said that 90 Pakistani soldiers had died.

A video has surfaced showing the bombing of a paramilitary convoy in southwestern Pakistan that killed at least five on Sunday. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) which claimed responsibility for the attack in Balochistan’s Noshki distrcit, has reportedly released the video.

The video, shows a military bus being bombed, followed by thick smoke rising from the vehicle. The wreckage and aftermath of the attack are visible. The footage was posted on X by a journalist who attributed it to the BLA’s media wing.

While local sources told news agency Reuters that at least 11 people were killed and 22 others injured, the BLA said that 90 Pakistani soldiers had died. Pakistani authorities, on the other hand, reported only five deaths.

Senior Superintendent of Police for Noskhi district Hashim Momand said more than 30 paramilitary force members were also wounded.

This attack comes just days after the BLA hijacked the Jaffar Express train in Pakistan, holding hostages for more than 30 hours before security forces ended the siege.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack in a statement, as the country continues to face growing security threats in its regions near the Afghan border.
