Yuvraj Singh’s father jailed in accident case

Former test cricketer Yograj Singh, father of batsman Yuvraj Singh, was sentenced to six-month imprisonment in a road accident case on Tuesday. The court found Yograj Singh guilty of injuring a scooterist with his car here on July 27, 2000. Yograj had been charged with causing grievous injury to one Mulakh Raj. Though the cricketer’s counsel denied the charge, the prosecution said that the damaged number plate of the car of Yograj Singh was found at the accident spot near Palsoura Barrier in the Union Territory. — PTI
