He8217;s the son of Shekhar Suman and he has all eyes trained on him because of his relationship with controversial actress Kangana Ranaut. No wonder then that he exudes the confidence and energy of a brash teenager. 8220;I haven8217;t bagged seven big films with versatile roles because of my relationships. It8217;s my talent that8217;s won me this status,8221; he says, referring to his future projects with the likes of Mahesh Bhatt, Guddu Dhanoa and Ganesh Acharya.

But the 20-year-old isn8217;t in denial and wears his status unabashedly. 8220;I know I8217;m one of the luckiest. While there are millions waiting for a single break, I8217;m already doing A-grade cinema. I grew up with a silver spoon in my mouth 8212; my parents never refused any demand I made, be it for money, Mercedes or mobile phones 8212; and I8217;ve already found love in my life.8221;

Though Raaz 8212; The Mystery Continues, which releases next month, isn8217;t his big-screen debut 8212; Adhyayan8217;s performance was barely acknowledged in Haal-e-Dil 8212; it is his first in a leading role. The young actor plays Yash, a television journalist who hosts a show that debunks superstition. His love interest in the film, Nandita Ranaut, starts getting possessed by the unseen, setting the grounds for a thriller. In contrast to his character, Adhyayan fears the supernatural. 8220;I8217;m even scared of darkness. And the unit, aware of this, would often play pranks on me,8221; he laughs. Between conversations, he often goes into the 8220;young-yet-wise8221; mode. Talking about Haal-e-Dil, he says, 8220;One can8217;t learn unless one makes mistakes. If I hadn8217;t read bad scripts I wouldn8217;t know today what8217;s good and worth working on.8221; He, however, also acknowledges that 8220;dad knows best8221;. 8220;Dad8217;s my hero and my ideal. So he screens all the scripts before I touch them. And I update him every night on the work front.8221;

So, has he inherited his father8217;s comic sense? 8220;I can8217;t touch him, not yet, but Mahesh Bhatt, with whom I8217;m doing Jashan, says I8217;m good,8221; he grins, and goes on to elaborate how Bhatt thinks he is the next big thing in Indian cinema. Despite having big names attached to his bio-data, the brazen actor does not 8220;feel the pressure to perform8221;. 8220;I don8217;t think I need to prove anything to anyone. I8217;m aware of my capabilities and I8217;m very ambitious 8212; I want everything right now, success, fame, work 8212; and I will get it all.8221; But he mellows down to a teenage lover when Ranaut is mentioned. 8220;It was love at first sight. We were destined to meet. It may sound filmy, but it8217;s true,8221; he grins.
