NEW DELHI, MARCH 21: A Delhi court on Tuesday granted bail to Dubai-based NRI businessman Win Chadha, one of the main accused in the Rs 64-crore Bofors payoffs case, and issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Martin Ardbo, the then chief of Swedish company A B Bofors, for his refusal to accept summons for appearance in the case.

Special Judge Ajit Bharihoke granted bail to Chadha on a personal bond of Rs two lakh and a surety of like amount after he appeared before him on Tuesday morning. The court gave further time to CBI to execute the NBW already issued against Italian businessman Ottavio Quattrocchi and fixed April 26 as the next date of hearing.

The court directed the investigating agency to ascertain as to who was the successor of A B Bofors, an accused in the case, and serve summons to the successor company.
