Yet another sitting BSP MP denied ticket

The BSP has decided to deny ticket to its sitting MP from Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency,Vijay Bahadur Singh,and named former MLA Rakesh Goswami

The BSP has decided to deny ticket to its sitting MP from Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency,Vijay Bahadur Singh,and named former MLA Rakesh Goswami in his place to contest the next parliamentary election.

Singh is BSP’s third sitting MP to be denied ticket.

With the announcement of Rakesh Goswami’s name from Hamirpur,the total number of Brahmin candidates for the next Lok Sabha elections announced by the BSP has reached 21. Goswami had won the Assembly poll from Mahoba as a BSP candidate in 2007.

BSP general secretary Naseemuddin Siddiqui,who announced Goswami’s name during a party function at Mahoba last week,said that the decision of denying ticket to Singh was taken by the party’s national leadership and hence,he could not comment on it.
