Indian-origin girl is Americas teen queen

London: Anysha Panesar,a 16-year-old girl of Indian origin,has been crowned Americas Perfect Teen. The only problem is she is British. The teenager from Wales beat a host of American beauties to win the contest while on holiday in Florida and it has not gone down well with the losing candidates. Parents of the American girls have protested to the organisers of the pageant,which has a 2,000 first prize,and an 18,000 scholarship to train as a TV broadcaster,reported Daily Mail online.

House where Monroe died sold for 4 million

Boston: Marilyn Monroes Los Angeles home,where she was found dead,has sold for close to 4 million dollars. The house in Brentwood,sold for 255,000 dollars above the 3,595,000 asking price. The one-storey four-bedroom house features polished concrete and original wood beamed ceilings,said Los Angeles Times. Built in 1929,the hacienda and pool sit on 23,000 sq ft grounds,said the website of David Offer,with Prudential California Realty.
