Australian man to float in a bottle from Japan to US
SYDNEY: An Australian filmmaker plans to float across the Pacific Ocean from Japan to the United States in a giant plastic bottle,ploughing through a huge floating garbage dump to highlight marine pollution. Richard Pain said he realised that floating 9,000 km from Japan to California was completely mad but said he hoped it inspired others to think more about the environment. Pain,45,plans to float in a giant recycled plastic water bottle made out of thousands of smaller plastic water bottles.
Bruni blasted for being too tall by kids
LONDON: Carla Bruni has been accused of sporting false teeth and being too tall by children in France. The former model,who is married to French President Nicolas Sarkozy,was giving presents to youngsters at the Elysee Palace on Wednesday when she was criticised by the kids,reported Mirror online. In a video released by Le Parisien newspaper,a boy said that he thought Bruni must have false teeth because they are too white. Other children also made fun of the fact the 5ft 10inches former supermodel towers over her husband who is just 5ft 5 inches tall.
