Warrant against Mehbooba in 6-yr-old case

A Srinagar court has issued a bailable warrant against PDP president Mehbooba Mufti in a six-year-old case. The warrant was issued by the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Srinagar on Tuesday,who directed the police to execute it immediately.

The case was filed by Rural Development Minister Ali Muhammad Sagar in 2004 when Parliamentary elections were held in the state. Mehbooba had alleged that Sagar,a poll agent for Omar Abdullah from the Srinagar parliamentary seat in 2004,had rigged polls in his favour. In response,Sagar alleged that Mehbooba had threatened and defamed him.
