Turmeric and jeera prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on selling by stockists,driven by subdued export and domestic demand.
Weak trends at producing belts also put pressure on the prices.
Turmeric prices declined by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 5,200-8,600 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also traded lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 14,600-14,800 and Rs 17,600-18,100 per quintal.
Marketmen said selling by stockists amid reduced offtake by local parties and weak export demand,mainly pulled down turmeric and jeera prices at the wholesale kirana market.
