Neil Nitin Mukesh and Puja Gupta, the cast of Susi Ganeshs Shortcut Romeo, are back from shooting in the Masai Mara forest in Kenya.
Though Puja liked the scenic locations at Masai Mara, she did not have a very good experience shooting in the dense forests. She recalls,It was very hot and my cameraman would make me shoot in the sun because he liked to shoot with that light on my face. So for eight hours in the day,I would be standing under scorching heat without any shade because we were shooting in open locations.
Moreover, the actress will be seen in this film in two avatars 8211; as a glamorous, young girl decked in western outfits and a typical Indian girl dressed in plain khadi suits. Since we were shooting the portion where I have to look glamorous,I had to be very careful with my makeup in the heat, says Gupta.
The actress also got an opportunity to dance with the local Masai tribe. We have shot a scene where I am dancing with the tribe. But trust me,that dance is not easy because there is a lot of jumping involved. This was the first day of my shoot and I was asked to jump so much, that the next day I could not stand on my feet, she recalls.
Gupta doesnt mince words when praising her co-star Neil Nitin Mukesh who supported her through the gruelling schedule. She says,Neil is a fabulous co-star. I would not have survived in Kenya if he wasnt around.
