Tetra Pak appoints Kandarp as MD of South Asia

"In this role (as MD),Singh will be responsible for Tetra Pak biz in India,Bangladesh and S Lanka," Tetra Pak said.

Food processing and packaging solutions firm Tetra Pak announced the appointment of Kandarp Singh as the new Managing Director for South Asia Markets (SAM) with effect from January 1,2011.

“In this role (as MD),Kandarp Singh will be responsible for the Tetra Pak business in India,Bangladesh and Sri Lanka,” Tetra Pak said in a statement.

He replaces Peter Hane-Weijman,who leaves the job after working with the company for the past five years,it added. Singh has been with Tetra Pak for more than 15 years working across diverse functions in countries like the UAE,Switzerland,Italy and Sweden.

His most recent international assignment was that of Managing Director of Tetra Recart in Sweden. He returned to India in 2009 and has since then held positions of Marketing Director for South Asia and Regional Head for Environment in South and South East Asia.
