Tata Global Beverages reported 20.13 per cent decline in its consolidated profit after tax for the quarter ended December 31,2010,at Rs 79.78 crore.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 99.89 crore in the corresponding period previous year,Tata Global Beverages said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange BSE.
The total operating income during the third quarter of this fiscal,however,rose by 3.81 per cent to Rs 1,608.32 crore from Rs 1,549.23 crore in the year-ago period,it added.
Shares of the company,which was earlier known as Tata Tea,today closed 5.30 per cent down at Rs 100 a piece on the BSE.
