Swami Agnivesh to join Bigg Boss house today

“I think it is exciting and challenging for a person with my background to go inside this house and to engage young souls on socially relevant issues,” Agnivesh told The Indian Express. “Through the show,I hope to start some sort of dialogue with a large social spectrum,including the urban educated middle class.”

Agnivesh,who had a public fallout with Team Anna and has demanded that the movement’s accounts should be transparent and also that Kiran Bedi’s NGO should submit itself to scrutiny,said he believes the TV-viewing public can be exhorted to participate in dialogues on issues the country faces.

“Radical social transformation of the country was my dream. And during my recent involvement in the anti-corruption movement,I saw the potential of the middle class youth. I believe I will have a microcosm of youth inside the house and outside through the TV-viewing public,” he said.

Since no topics are taboo inside the Bigg Boss house,Agnivesh said he will continue to speak candidly about the chinks in Team Anna and recent developments,including his insistence on transparency in the movement. He claimed he has not struck a deal for any payment for his appearance on the show,where he hopes to stay as long as possible.

‘Anna not behind Cong Hisar loss’
Mumbai: The Shiv Sena has asked Team Anna not to take false credit for the defeat of the Congress candidate in Hisar,saying there is a general anger against the Congress in the entire country. In an editorial in its mouthpiece Saamna on Monday,the Sena said to claim that the Congress candidate in Hisar was defeated due to Anna Hazare would be a deception.
