Strike at Ceat Tyres’ plant in Nashik

Production at the factory has been affected,sources said.

Workers of Ceat Tyres’ plant near here are on a strike since yesterday to protest assault on two of their colleagues.

The strike at the plant,located at Satpur MIDC area here in North Maharashtra,began when two permanent workers were attacked allegedly by contractual workers over some dispute,Praveen Mandhare,a union leader,said today.

Production at the factory has been affected,sources said.

Security has been stepped up around the plant,police said.
