Steel prices remain quiet in thin trade

Quiet conditions prevailed in the local steel and iron market today as prices moved in a tight range and settled around previous levels.

Market analysts said lack of worthwhile buying activity due to paucity of funds amid absence of demand mainly kept prices unchanged.

Following are today’s quotations per tonne:
