Even as the Congress complains about its ally not accommodating its demand for seats in Uttar Pradesh,the Samajwadi Party seems to be softening its stand. In fact,the SP is trying to accommodate the Congress to the extent of even shifting the venue of its national executive meet. The SP had planned to hold its national executive meet in Gorakhpur. But after it learnt that the Congress was also considering holding its state executive meeting in Gorakhpur,the SP has started to think of alternative locations. Incidentally,the SPs January 15 deadline for reconsidering support to the Congress has long passed.
