With seven Bihar districts hit by dengue,three persons were reported to have died and 250 others affected by it. Among the districts affected,Bhagalpur and Patna have reported the maximum number of cases.
Following the spurt in dengue cases,Bihar government has set up a high power committee comprising members from health,urban development and public health and engineering departments.
Among the patients who died of dengue,one was from Gaya and the other two from Siwan. While Bhagalpur has reported 152 positive cases for dengue,Patna has reported 67 cases. Gaya,Samastipur,Vaishali,Siwan and Munger are the other districts affected.
Health Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey said the panel set up was entrusted with task of monitoring the disease.
